Welcome to the Thinking Toys November Newsletter!

Picture of Jane smiling

Hi there ,

If this is your first newsletter... Welcome! If not, then welcome back!

I'm sorry its been a while since my last update, but October and November have been busy, busy, busy!

First there was Greenfest at Southbank 10 - 12 October, which was a 3 day whirlwind of excitement and exhaustion. There was a great mix of sustainable businesses and it was wonderful to be able to meet customers face to face and recieve some positive feedback from them. It makes the hard slog all worthwhile. :-)

The 'Zonta Women in Business Expo' came next and funds raised were to help support some of their worthy causes.

Thinking Toys was also invited to exhibit at Australia Zoo on 'Steve Irwin Day'! It was a real honour to be invited to this special day and celebrate the life of a man who had so much energy and enthusiasm for conservation.

The inovative Wishbone Bike made its first Australian appearance with Thinking Toys at Australia Zoo. The wishbone bike is the most eco-friendly on the market. It is 3 bikes in 1 , has 60% recycled plastic wheels, non-toxic glues and finishes and pneumatic tyres.

The Wishbone Bike is a great way to help children gain the core strength, balance and confidence needed to ride a pedal bike. Itstarts as a trike for children as young as 12 months, converts to a 2 wheeler when they are ready to progress and then the frame can flip to heighten the bike to gain further milage for your money!

It comes plain or as the beautiful limited edition featuring the Endangered Giant Kauri Snail.

Finally New Anamalz Have Arrived!

These gorgeous award winning animals made the long trek around the world and arrived on Friday tired and a bit cranky. They are not being very co-operative about being put on display on the website, but I think I can persuade them by Tuesday. As long as they have caring new friends to go to, who love to have an adventure, I'm sure they will settle down, but just watch out for that Rhino!

Stop Press!

This has been a very exciting week as Thinking Toys has been featured twice in the business section of the Courier Mail!! It is wonderful to know that a major newspaper is taking steps to promote eco-friendly living and recognises my little business is doing its bit to help.

Musical instruments with a mistaken identity....

In my last newsletter I announced that we were adding a new musical range to Thinking Toys. Well I'm sorry to say that the sustainability certificates that were provided (in Chinese) turned out to be nothing more than logging permits and contained NO mention of sustainably managed forests. I will not therefore be including them in the Thinking Toys line up.

I will continue in my search to find eco-friendly instruments to add to the range. In the meantime the 'Giant Xylophone' is proving very popular to introduce young children to the wonders of creating their own music.

Family fun boardgames, metal and wooden brain teaser puzzles...

make great Christmas presents that keep on giving again and again! Only 25 days left!! Don't forget that I offer a FREE gift wrapping service to help you save precious time.
