Board Games and Educational Games
Kids need games with simple rules and clear goals. For the four year old who is keen to play games but is yet to develop a clear sense of the rules, Gobblet 'on the go' is the perfect educational game. While older children will also love Gobblet 'on the go', they will get even more out of the adult version of this unique board game. Learn more in our full review. The colourful Quoridor Kid is another wonderful way to introduce younger children to the delights of educational games. Our six and four year old children both love playing this whenever its too hot or wet to go outside. For teenagers and adults, the beautiful Pin toy collection provides four games - Creeper, Cambio, Zaroc and Megalith, each with their own particular intrigue and appeal. Put them on display with our game stand and they'll constantly tempt them (and you!) away from the TV When there are more than two people wanting to play, Quoridor and Octiles come into their own, offering accessible fun that is easily learned by any child over the age of six (and quite a few as young as four). |
Construction toys
Wooden blocks are often overlooked for older children because they are seen as toys for toddlers. Not so with the fascinating Quadrilla which lets children and adults build large structures through which marbles can cascade in an intriguing variety of ways. The younger kids find these structures irresistible too as the marbles make a delightful sound on the wood as they ripple down through the structures. Read more in our full review of Quadrilla. |
Puzzle Toys
Puzzle toys are something that children generally 'finish with' fairly quickly once they have completed them. Not so with the mathematically intriguing, virtually indestructible Katamino. Katamino's 500 puzzles in one box provide a progression from challenges a four year old can do in minutes all the way up to challenges that will have many an adult puzzle fan losing sleep over. If that is not enough, Katamino also offers a remarkably compelling educational game and stacking block challenges all in one box! We've finally put Katamino down for long enough to review it. Take a look at our full review. This remarkable game really does help children to learn more effectively! |
